Print out the templates and cut them out. I suggest using the heat-erasable pen or you can attach templates directly onto the felt using some needle pins.
Let's start with the top slice. Take the top of the sub and sew together the small cut-out triangle edges first. Then embroider seeds, herbs, etc. Align the top with one of the bases and sew them together along the edge but leave some space to add the soft toy filling. Add the filling to give it shape but don't overfill, otherwise it will be too round. Finish sewing the edges together.
For the bottom sub slice, align both bases and sew them along the edges but leave some space for the soft toy filling. Add just a bit of the soft toy filling to give it some shape but again don't overfill it. Finish sewing the edges together.
